cant delete a file

hello guys

i downloaded a .exe file
before i clicked it
i scanned with NAV and it found nothing
then when i clicked it, it opened up the DOS window... and
then closed it real quick
now i was wondering... could this be some sort of virus that
spread into my system?? if it is. why didnt NAV find it
and now i cant even delete the file... it says that its being used by another person or application.... i cant delete it at all...
any1 know whats going on and how i can delete this file....

thx in advance
bye

Send a message via AIM to lost-and-found
have you clicked alt-ctr-del and opened up the "task manager" window and closed any processes with the name similar to that file?

have you tried to restart the system and then delete the file?

You could use System Restore and go back a day before the installation of that file.

Then go to the file and delete it.

Cheers!
