what does it mean when a cat5 cable is "non-booted"

i know, but cant remember for the life of me

non booted is before you turn it on.


Nah, its the little jacket thingy like you said..in the pic. I suppose sometimes they say "snagless" to mean the same thing? Cuz if it aint "booted" it will no doubt snag everything if you try to pull it thru a bunch of cable, lol.
