The blue is either and AUX port or Line In, most propably Line In.
Now why would you want to plug two sets of Speakers into the soundcard?

If you want surround sound, you should invest in a 4.1 or better soundcard, since to my knowladge no on board sound chips do a very good job of it, unless its a newer system that has 4.1 capable chip.

What type of motherboard do you have? It may have onboard 4.1 or 5.1 sound, but you would need to change the settings in the BIOS. The line in, line out, and microphone jacks would then be used as speaker jacks.

As Mr. Purple pointed out, true dolby is at least 5 speakers. Four sattelites for mid and high range, and a big honking subwoofer for explosions, car crashes, etc. A decent set of speakers start at about $50.

Blue usually corresponds to line-in. Either get a Rat Shack mini jack Y splitter, or get a real soundcard. The turtle beach santa cruz can be had for 40 bucks easily. It's a great bang-for-the-buck card, I use one with my PM4.1's.
