Raid 0 240 Gigs.. Partition?

I have two 120 gig HD and I am Raid 0 them together so I have 240 gigs all on one partition.
My question is would it increase performance if I were to partition the hard drives into 2 or 3 partitions... and Install only games on one partitions. WIll it speed up the file access because it is on smaller partitions?

Thanks

Speed up the file access? No it wont.

But if you divide it up in 3 should give you the best system speed if you have one partition for your system, the second(middle) partition as swap file partition, and the third as your apps/data partition.

Make sure you put nothing else on the swap file partition. As a suggestion you might make the partition twice the size of your actual ram size or twice the size you want your swap file to be.

Also since your hard drives are stripped, I suggest you backup your data more often(at least once weekly). If you had it mirrored you would have a much safer setup. But that way is expensive.

Not really, as all it would take is if you had a nice raid controller you could run a mirroring, but you lose 50% of the space, this wouldn't require anything more, you would just have a 120gb drive.
If you had another drive you could run raid 3 or 5, that would mean you lose one drive, which isn't that expensive if you had a minumum of three drives.
