IE6 Caputska!

What the ?! IE6 won't connect on the wifes computer anymore...it just stopped allowing her to go online. She can connect to Outlook express, us Opera, play games online...IE just will not work at all. I've tried using the IE repair tool to no avail and I can't reinstall it with the IE6 installer because it says the newest version already exists and it quits the installer...

What gives? I couldn't find anything in the Microsoft Knowledge base about this either.

Win98SE
AMD 1.4ghz
GF4 ti4200
512mb ddr

recently did a thorough scan disk and defrag, plus system file checker and all the other tools I could think to use that come with Windows 98.... I'm stuck.

Does anything else work? Are you sure you are connected to the internet?
