mp3 players: NOMAD, IPOD, SOMETHING

I'm looking to get a hard drive based mp3 player, I was thinking about the NOMAD Jukebox Zen NX or the NOMAD Jukebox Zen Xtra or maybe with something else with 20+ gigs in the $200-$300 price range. I was wandering what others thought of these or if maybe there is something better out there.

I have a Nomad and like it. But even I would have to admit that the IPOD is the sh*t currently. You might want to check out the new kid on the block from Dell...

The dell is ok but it only has a 15 and 20gig hard drive and looks kinda big. The ipod is overpriced (out of my price range) and looks odd up close. What kind of Nomad do you have, crazyray? Is it high quality? The last few mp3 players I had practically fell apart on me.

I have a Nomad Jukebox 20 GB. It is much larger than the Dell...

Nomad's software is not my favorite. I use freeware with LAME to create my files, then use the Nomad software to do the transfer, as required. I've gotten used to the machine but it is less than intuitive. It has been reliable. And I can buy 2 for the cost of an IPOD.

I would personally go for an iPod but the problem is they are so expensive. Its my dream mp3 player I must say. Just have to wait until I get the money If you have the bucks go for iPod.

I have the original Nomade Jukebox 6GB. I love it still works great even after a few good drops and numerous hours of working in the rain @ the Golf Course. I vote for it. I cant comment on any other MP3 player though.

I THINK I'M GOING TO GO FOR THE CREATIVE ZEN EXTRA 40GIG, THEY SEEM TO BE THE BEST FOR THE PRICE AND THE DELLS ARE UNTESTED AS FAR AS I'M CONCERED, BESIDES I DONT LIKE THE LOOK OF THE IPOD LOOKS WASHED OUT IN PERSON
