Access denied!!!!!!

Hi,

I ercently had to reinstall my XP pro edition after I had a virus found on my PC which totally screwed me up.

I reinstalled and all was fine apart from this!

I went to have a look at my user files in documents and settings to bring back my old files however I had protected my files on my pc from other users of the PC. Now when I try to get in I get access denied, whih was the point, but not for me!!

Can anyone help me get back in to my files...

I cant put my password anywhere to solve this.

Any help would be great! Thanks

You need to claim the ownership of the entire directory and then change permissions.

Right click->properties->security->more security->owner

You need to disable 'simple file sharing'. Click tools->folder options->view, remove tick from 'use simple file sharing'.
