Help me find the perfect bargain bin card!
Looking for one that will tide me over for a month or two while i'm picking up the parts to build my new system.
PC Specs:
HP Pavilion XE783
Pentium 3(Cu) Celeron processor 700MHz/128KB
255MB PC100(I think...) SDRAM
Windows 2K Pro
120GB/8MB ATA/133 7200RPM HDD
Intel 810 Integrated video/4MB memory
DX 9.0b
Looking for a CHEAP(hopefully under $50) PCI/TV-Outthat will decently play the following things:
DivX/XviD encoded anime/movie files(mostly avi of course)
Ragnarok Online
Diablo 2
Final Fantasy XI
NeoRAGE/Snes9X/ZSNES(Emulator's)
Halo(not absolutely necessary)
Half-Life(not absolutely necessary)
Counter-Strike(not absolutely necessary)
Stepmania(not absolutely necessary)
Also it must have some form of TV-Out other than S-Video(I think?) My TV only has a coax in the back, no s-video or A/V(Red/yellow/white) jacks. But I do have a big block modulator that has S-video in jacks, and A/V(Red/yellow/white) in jacks, with a coaxial out ot the TV.(I like to watch anime on my TV... and want to play FFXI on my TV through the PC ;x ) Also if the item you know of is online, please gimme a site that's good... like NewEGG or something like that.
P.S. I THANK ALL FOR ANY HELP OF ANY KIND!
P.S.S. Tons of thanks to EvilRick for all his help in my previous thread.

I did a search "pci tv out" on newegg, and got this: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...pci%2Ctv%2Cout
Anything there you think would fit my needs?
Also, would any of them support a small OC venture? Nothing big. Just a small kick on the bus or something. Lightly increase it's performance, while not necessarily needing extra cooling(considering i'll only have it for 1-3 months, hopefully not very long)
P.S. There are some lower price refurbs at the bottom of the first page, and top of the second page.

Well, if you really don't want to spend much get the ATI OEM RADEON 7000 32MB DDR DVI/CRT/TV PCI for $39. Otherwise you could get the POWERCOLOR ATI RADEON 9200SE 128MB DDR DVI/TV-out PCI RETAIL for $85. |

Palit DAYTONA nVIDIA GF4 MX440 64MB DDR TV 8X PCI RETAIL would probably be fine. I'm a little skeptical of their description though . . .
The pic shows Compostite/S-Video/VGA outs, but I think it really only has VGA and S-Video. It's only $51 w/ FREE S/H.
If I were going to get one from Newegg.com, that'd be the one I'd get.
I don't know what the games you're playing now require, I just play Freecell and Gothic, so I can't really help you there.

Rick: From the previous thread, expand on your answer to question 3 for a sec. If I plug an s-video from a video card into a modulator, then plug the modulator into my TV through coax, will that work? Will I be able to switch my monitor over to the TV?

If your modulator accepts S-video input, then "Yes" it should work.

I bought a REFURB once . . . once. I'll never do it again. You figure you're going to pay $40 for something that got returned for whatever reason. For only $10ish more you can get a brand new one.
And, if you wanna try to sell it here after you don't need it anymore, you'll get more $ back w/ a new-used card rather than used-refurb.

You could always get an S-video>Composite converter. Most video cards (With S-Video output only) come with them too.
