Welcome to techimo.
Not sure what kind of mobo a "pwa-camaro" is, but re the keyboard not responding: if it is a USB keyboard, borrow a PS2 type and try that instead to enter BIOS. Some mobos need to have "DOS USB" support enabled in BIOS.
The colored screen throws me... does this mobo use an integrated onboard graphics chip?
Even if you are "flying blind," during POST have you tried to press whatever key combination should bring you into BIOS?

Did you buy this new from a store? or is it a "new to you" product. if the keyboard doesnt respond then the bios might be shot. also you might want to check to make sure everythign is hooked up properly. ive heard stories that sometimes one simple thing might be hooked up backwards and it dont load at all (my computer for ex. was playing with the three drives and had all three set at master---> oops!)

I boought it from "Computer Surplus.com" Internet.
I was told that this motherboard is the same type that compaq presario 7400 series uses. I'm very thankful for all the responsives i recieved from evryone at TECHIMO i believe i made the right choice, i mean i've searched everywhere i'm pratically in tears, fustrated. I bought this mobo with processor when out bought a case a heatsink mem and nothing all i get now is the compaq screen. When i get the little square at the far right corner i've press f10,del,f2,ctlrl+alt+s, ect.ect.
Like i said before if i don't hit the Esc key at the beginning of power on i'll just get multiple colors on the screen. When i do hit the Esc i'll get full memory count then just the compaq logo screen no messages no beeps. It's this motherboard dead or something? I 've checked all the jumpers and according to my manual their correct. Please help i sure can appreciated. And the big picture is that i haven't been able to install an operating system because i cannot get pass this screen not even a bootdisk?

are you sure the RAM is good? Unhook the hard drives, CD-ROM drives, and any other devices. Run it only with RAM, the video card (if not on-board), and the CPU. don't have anything else connected.

Is it possible he would have to somehow download a bios?? In other words, what if it is one of those weird compaq deals with the bios on the hard drive partition?
have you tried holding down the left "ctrl" button perhaps?

sir_michael,
If that vendor is Computer Surplus Outlet in Las Vegas NV, they are very reputable IMO... I've done business with them in the past with no problems. Call them and explain the situation. You may just have gotten a bad piece of hardware.

F10 should be the key to get into the bios. Just keep tapping F10 during the bootup. You may hear a beep when the PC is tired of having you tap the F10. Then you should be presented with the BIOS config window.
If not. Go with jmichna's idea.
Cheers!
