de_vegas.wad error

anyone get this error? I get it whenever I play fy_iceworld.

it shuts 1.6 down and takes me to my desktop just to tell me that in a window's box which is DELETED up. any ideas? I don't even have a vegas wad lol, maybe that's the problem...

yes i got that error the first couple of times i tried to play iceworld afeter installing 1.6. then one day when i tried to get into iceworld.......it started downloading de_vagas.wad and after that i have been playing iceworld just fine.

Every time this map comes up in rotation people drop (steam probably crashes).

Put the map here:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\youemailaddress@whatevermail .com\counter-strike\cstrike\maps

You may not have a maps folder here. Make one.
Put the fy_iceworld.bsp file in the maps folder.




You may have a similar problem with de_vegas. I'm not sure since when Steam crashed wanting the wad, by the time I added it, then map had changed.

That file (de_vegas.wad) goes here:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\youemailaddress@whatevermail .com\counter-strike\cstrike\de_vegas.wad


This pack includes the map and de_vegas.wad, it also has de_vegas.res, but is not needed in your counter-strike folder.
