Systems Baffling Printer problem!

I have a strange printer problem that's baffling me.... We have an HP Deskjet 960C connected via USB to a PC running Windows XP Prof. It's then been shared on the network. Everyone can print perfectly to the printer except one PC. The PC in question is running Windows XP Prof, with 504 MB RAM and 32 GB space left on a 37 GB hdd. The PC and printer are talking to eachother just fine, the problem is what it actually produces. The page printed is just one random block of colour, sometimes a few different colours. But nothing like the actual image sent to print. The weird thing is that when I log on the PC as another user, the printer works just fine. It seems to be this one ladies profile.

Please help as I'm baffled and have people shouting @ me now!!!

Thanks,
Moep

Not exactly an XP user, but since you are in a hurry, thought I would try to help.

Try looking at the info on these pages and see if they have anything that might help you.

Any possibility of creating a new profile for the one lady having the problem? Might be an interesting troubelshooting step to try.

Any variation in the rights between the users on that system?

I'd suspect printer driver issues.

Perhaps the printer drivers were "installed" while under her account login, but her account doesn't have admin rights. Perhaps (temporarily" grant her account admin rights, uninstall, then reinstall the printer drivers. Change her account permissions back to what you want.
