Learning Java
Hi all, I'm interested in learning Java primerially (sp? bad i know ) for mobile devices like the nokia 40 series and other such java enabled phones.
Was just wondering if anyone has any usefull links to documentation that helped them learn java i.e Java fo dummies (does this book exist?) or any PDF docs usfull for the novice
Any help and advice about getting started would be very usefull
P.S I have a copy of JBuilder 9 + Mobil set 3.01. If any one has any usefull tips for the borland suite, In general anything I'd need to know
Cheers all

You could do worse than checkout The Sun Java Tutorial as a place to start.
I apologise on behalf of ineb, we aren't all that rude.

Well people SHOULD check google before asking questions, there are PLENTY of resources out there online, anyone should know to do a simple search.
I wouldn't have to be " rude" if people didn't ask such obvious questions, i'm usually a really nice guy in real life and on the web if i want to be...

I seem to remember you asking your share of assanine questions, it would appear you didn't get that post count by sharing your wealth of knowledge.
Anyway, to try and prevent further thread derailment heres a better link to the Sun tutorials section.

Yes, i have asked my share of asinine questions, but i have learned the ways of the search button and google.
If i remember correctly, someone a few days ago asked about java, if he used the search function and google he would of got plently of answers.

I'm sure you could find pdf copies of a book dealing with java out there. However, I'm not endorsing such actions. nudge, nudge, wink, wink. Quote:

| iNeb, if you've got a problem PM eddy directly instead of posting unhelpful replies, inflating your post count and generally being an ass.
