Good all around ram. There are different types of it though. Will you be overclocking, or just normal usage?

What processor? If you're planning on WAY overclocking you might be a little more discriminating in your purchase. I'd also suggest getting two sticks, i.e. for 512, get 2x256 so you can take advantage of the dual channel capability. I have the same board, btw...very pleased w/ it.

I have a similar set up with the A7N8X deluxe mobo and the Crucial 3200 and system is running solid. But I have very little asperationt to overclock so I opted for th Crucial.

If you are looking to overclock go with another name like Consair or Kingston

Good Luck

Given those specs I'd say you'd do well to go w/ crucial again. However, IMHO, another 512 will not make that much of a difference. I've run 512 and 1024 and the difference is negligible. 512 is about the sweet spot for XP. I'd say spend the cash on somethin' else, but you do whatever makes you happy!

It is also good practice to have the same type of ram (or name ie. Crucial) if you are planning to upgrade it. This will minimize compatibility problems in the long run.

Crucial does make high quality ram, very well performing, not sure on over clocking on all sticks, but that should be decent.
You wouldn't go wrong with them at all, if I recall correctly their 256mb pc3200 sticksin a dual channel configuration had out ranked other brands during a round up I had read about.
They are of top notch, even if you were to over clock or not they should do just fine.
You can purchase heat spreaders anywhere these days.

Kingston does great as well as corsair, I however bought some kingston hyperX sticks for my computer. I think of them as a bit on the generic side, as they are over priced for them.
However corsair and crucial are both very good memory manufacturer's. Also there are many new company's that are doing great as well like Geil and Kingsmax.

It depends on what you are doing/using, I generally use large quantity's of memory myself on a daily basis, thus the need for 1gb of memory in each computer I have.
Right now I've got about 450mb of things running, it fluctuates quite a bit depending on what i'm doing.
