to fdisk or not to fdisk

I have an old Lappy I want to sell, and was wondering if I have to remove the OS before shipping it.
It is the original OS that came on the machine (Win95) even has IBM Thinkpad software on it.

So do I need to Fdisk it before shipping or is it OK to leave windows on it?

Thanks

I would just leave it so the receiving end can fire up the laptop right away and see that it's in proper working condition. Just make sure to delete all personal info and wipe the deleted portion if you have any files you don't want this person to try undeleting..

leave the orignal installation media etc with the lappy, and it is a transfer of rights, which i believe you are allowed. look under C:\windows\eula.txt .
also i believe a format would be more effective than fdisk, remember to sys c: to leave it ready to receive a new install of windows. remember that you can still recover files after a format, and use a file shredding program on any personal files.

I rrealy doubt any one would "bust" you for selling a laptop with win95 installed on it Had you not told us, you and the buyer would be the only ones who knew...

Yep. And don't forget to include any software that came with it....nor any hardware, either!
