Computer testing Procedures or Software?

I build computer systems and test them with a particular software problem that literally takes close to 5 hours. Is there a more efficient way to burn in a new system without all of this hassle. Thanks!

I never run them LESS than 24 hrs myself , and I usually run a heavy 3D screensaver (Silex [act-3d.com] or the Aquarium [serenescreen.com] for example) to whip on a CPU & Gfx card , with mutiple AVI's or MPG's running underneath....
Try to run the CPU @ 100 %....
I don't want them back AFTER I deliver them to the customer... ;-)

ever try the "burn-in wizard" in SiSoft Sandra? it has benchmarks, etc that don't take long.

*edit
United Devices is a not-for-profit organization which relies upon individual computer "donation" by downloading a small program, and running it on the individual's machine (with close to 100% sys resources being used, when system is idle)...run that program for three cycles (three sets of results) and you'll be fine.
United Devices runs a program which searches for "positive drug interaction with cancer cells, to help find a cure (or treatments for) cancer.
they also have other programs, such as smallpox vaccine development, and internet stability projects. I am participating in the Cancer Research program myself.
