Does anyone have this motherboard ( A7N8X Deluxe)??

I bought this motherboard to take advantage of the dolby digitaf 5.1 SPDIF connector on the board.. My first time buying a board with onboard sound. I bought a really expensive SPDIF (digital coax cable) cable (around 60$ for 1.5m) and when I plugged my computer into my receiver (a Denon AVR 1801), I get a lot of hissing in the background... I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or if there is a problem with my board.. other then the hissing sound, everything works great, the sound that comes out of this board is good (if you overlook the hissing) but this is pretty annoying.

I tried ot contact asus and they have not replied os I'm wondering if anyone knows why I'm getting this inteference. I'm sure it's not the cable, I've tried dmore then one cable.

have you updated the drivers?

i had this problem while i was playing certain games. the newest drivers corrected them.

I have the most current drivers available on the web site (well, as of last week...) so yes, I do. is anyone using the spdif output?

Do you have a version for the drivers that you are using? I'll chekc what version I have. maybe the ones I have (if they are after yours) broke something.. or maybe I got the wrong ones.

I get the same results with different drivers... I can still hear a hissing noise in the background.
