Wireless-G PCI card knocks out my video

I'm trying to install a wireless-g PCI card and every time I put it in the machine, the machine hangs and I get the "Signal error, check your cable" on the monitor and the system won't boot. I remove the wireless adaptor and everything is fine. I've tried it on two different machines (both old) with the same results. Anyone else seen this? Any ideas?

Thanks, Dave

Hello fellow Ohioian DrDave1958.

Seems like a fair amount of peolpe don't like this card.

One person reported similar problems as you did... http://att.com.com/Linksys_WMP54G_Wi...=top&fb=0&ob=0 ...his soluiton was to get a different card.

Linksys support site doesn't show any obvious problems like yours.

I would focus on freeing up (& assigning) an IRQ manually to see if that helps.

Have you tried putting the card in a different PCI slot?

Tried diffent slots.

Tried 5 different machines, all with the same results.

Based on what I read in the link DVNT1 provided, I'm returning it today and going with a different brand.
