MSN Messenger login info problem

Hi all,

The computer I have was not new when I got it and had some programs already installed on it. One program called MSN Messenger was on it and I decided to get a hotmail address and microphone so my son could talk with his Grandparents over it. When I log in with our name, there is already someones name in a box that drops down. I have been all over the options and help section and can't figure out how to remove that name. I uninstalled it and downloaded it again hoping that would clear the name off but it didn't. Could someone tell me please?

I have Windows XP.

Thanks

Are you talking about the name in the contact list? If you are, simply right click on the name and select Delete Contact

Or are you refering to login name? If that's the case, you can go to File\Sign Out and then click on the text below the 'Sign In' button that says "To sign in with a different account, click here

Thanks NDC,

No, it isn't a contact. When I first start the Messenger it brings up a box that needs me to enter my email address and password into it to log me in. Someone else email address is already in the drop down box, along with mine. I have a choice to click on theirs or mine to log in. Their address is what I can't delete.

Here is a screetshot of it. Mine is the first name and the others are what I would like to delete but can't figure out how.

Thank you so much! I could log in fine and use the program without any problems. It's just their email address bugs me being there.

Thanks again,

Annisa.
