I would imagin e they are temp files and such. norton tries to safeguard you from throwing stuff away that you may need. i have never found any files in my norton protected recyle bin that i needed. Norton usually makes it hard for you to even empty the bin. I just go into windows explorer and deleted them from there.

Well wheni delete I dont send to the recycle bin. so anything there for me is useless. I was assumign of such files that would useless would be there. so unless theres something there that was of use, such as an EXE file i would say trash it all.

I think norton protection for the recyle bin is pretty much useless as most of their programs. damn bloat ware.. but yeha u hsould just disable norton protected.
why they show up in recyle bin would probably be because, when u first delete them they go into the recyle bin, but when you empty the bin then norton saves them in sum other area just in case u wanna bring them back... i think thats how it works last time i ever gave Protection a shot.
