it will make your wallet lighter.

What fsb speed are you running?

or maybe a better way to look at it would be.......if the pc2700 is running ok, then , no..i dont think the 3200 would do anything more.

In other words the RAM alone doesnt really DO anything speedwise.....it just tries to keep up with the fsb of the cpu.....sort of like a speed rating on a tire. A higher (3200) speed means that you can push the fsb speed higher.

I am assuming the fsb directly affects the memory speed which may or may not be true all the time nowadays. (hard to keep up with it all, lol)

Also if you have pc3200 you may be able to run more agressive latency timing and other memory settings.

Overall, unless you are overclocking and NEED the 3200, I wouldnt think it would do much extra for your system.

Others here are way more qualified than me to talk about it though, sorry, lol.

(I wish there were more hrs in the day, Id like to oc some myself)

I'm sorry but that was classic... LOL!

If you're planning on overclocking you might see some benefit but you'll likely have to remove the stick of PC2700 in order to get it to run stable.

If you're not overclocking you won't notice a difference unless you're running a proc that needs it to run that fast.
