A7N8X-X and Gameport probs

I recently switched from and ECS K7S5A to an Asus A7N8X-X and now I can't get my joystick to work. I did a new install of Win98SE, I installed the audio card (phillips 4.1 channel), and the new drivers for my joystick(Flightstick by CH Porducts). I also disabled the onboard sound and gameport (even thought there is no onboard gameport, there was still an option for it in the BIOS)When I plug my joystick into the gameport and try to add it, the menu says "not connected". It worked on my old mobo, any ideas?

How did you plug your joystick into the gameport when you say it doesn't have a gameport?

The audio card has a gameport.

Do you see any exclamation marks in your device manager for either the joystick port or the joystick?

No, everything looks like it should work, the device manager says everything is working properly. One thing I noticed is that Windows installes a generic driver for the gameport, but it did that on my old board, and everything worked fine. So, I'm wondering if there is a conflict in the mobo.

The heck with it, looks like I have to buy a new joystick.

get a gameport-usb coverter... i have the same mobo, but my joystick is USB unfortunately, so i cannot help you out.

Is there such a thing? Does Newegg have it or maybe Best Buy?
