need help with media player 8

All right, finally got my burner working again, no thanks to you guys just kidding...

Anyway, I want to make a CD that includes songs I ripped with WMP8 (yes, from CDs I do own, so it's not like they're illegal or anything), but the thing is, WMP rips them into .wma format, which is not compatible with Nero 6. So I'm wondering if there's a way to rip them into .mp3 format with WMP, or a way to make nero compatible with .wma files, or should I just download a converter, and if so, which one?

Just use Exact Audio Copy and LAME

Quick and painless to rip CD's to MP3's.

You can use WMP to rip and burn CD's - you don't need to use any other media player. I only use Nero to burn ISO image files.

Personally, I use Musicmatch to rip and burn CD's 'cos you can use the mp3 format, which I prefer to the Windows .wma format, but that's just my preference.
