Computer is on a distinguished road

I finally got windows XP. I had a little trouble installing because norton kicked in when XP was writing boot records or somthing like that. I am kind of confused about the user accounts though. I I login and delete a shortcut the logout and in on another account. That shortcut is also removed from that account. I am not to sure why it is doing this but it would definately screw up customizing desktops.
I had to reinstall my printer driver and i had to login manually here at techimo. I am sure there will be other glitches that I will need help with.
Can someone provide a link to a good XP tutorial that will teach me all about the New features in XP (had 98) like logins and customizing accounts and well, just about everything.

Thanks,
Computer

Try a restore point. Click on "Help and Support" in your Start menu, then click "undo changes to your computer with System Restore". Should be easy for you from there. Just be sure to pick a point before the loss of all your files. This may or may not work. I'm not sure how thorough this restore is.

Your Favorites are in the "C:\WINDOWS\Favorites" directory. Just copy them over to the "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Favorites" directory.

If you were using Outlook Express, your e-mail is still there as well. You just need to Import from "C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\Number\Microsoft\Outlook Express".

Your History should be in "C:\WINDOWS\History", but I don't think you can copy that to your new History folder. At least I wouldn't try myself.

ok so my email works in the account i chose to be administrator but it just show as fresh outlook express with no emails in all the user accounts? There was a thing that poped up that saind OE wasn't my default email so i switched to it. Why are all the emails present in the other accounts. Since there is only one email adress at present, i want all the accounts to be able to read the mail. Old and new incoming mail. How do i do this?

Thanks
