Windows XP COA Problem?

Here's the problem. I installed Windows XP Ugrade version onto my system. When installation was finish, I needed another COA so I could activate it. So I decided instead of buying just the COA, I wanted to get the full version CD also. So I ordered a OEM Windows XP CD and COA. When it came in, I tried to use "Magical Jelly Ben Key Changer" software to change my CD Key and it said, "incorrect key". I entered it in 6 more times and it said the same thing. I tried to activate Windows XP with my new COA code and it said the same thing, "incorrect key". I know the CD key is correct for the CD. I think that the Full OEM Windows CD Key is not compatible with the Upgrade Retail Version CD Key. If that is so, can I change the CD Key somehow without re-formating and re-installing with the OEM CD?

An Full Version key is NOT going to work w/ an Upgrade Version. You will have to reinstall in order to activate it.
