3Com 3C905CX-TXM Problem!!

Ok, I think I have a bad NIC here, I have installed it in two different computers and each time after putting the card in a PCI slot the computer will not boot. I take the card out and the system boots right up. I figure one of two things here, I either have a bum card or maybe there is a setting in BOIS that needs changing when installing this card. The two systems are using Abit KR7A-133R, and the new ASUS K8V for Opteron CPU's. Both systems run flawless untill I put the C905CX-TXM Nic card in.......and as I said, will not boot once installed. Wont even post.

Let me know if you can help before I return the thing.

Thanks

Lvcoyote

Try a few different slots.

It's possible the cards is defect, maybe it has a short circuit for example.
