WHAARGH!!! unwanted connection!!!

someone plz help me! my computer constantly connects to the internet (im on dial-up), and i only have one phone line at the moment, so it ties up my phone line when im not even using it and dont know that its on, so i miss calls! i know i could just unplug the modem or something until i want to use it, but i shouldnt have to everytime. i ctrl-alt-deleted and saw that whenever it automattically connects like this a process called rasautou runs. I dont know what this is, but i think its initiating the connection. I also am working on getting rid of a backdoor.trojan virus that makes a file called ramsys and checks for it everytime i log on, i dont know if this has anything to do with it? plz help

Download and install either SpyBot and/or Ad-Ware. They should take care of any pesky unwanted dialers and spyware/trojans you may have. I use both just to make sure one doesn't miss anything.
