IE - change auto suffix

Ok... in general I loathe the search from address bar feature because its horribly annoying. (have it disabled at the moment, but will probably be forced to change that

Now I don't want to use MSN to search for anything.
What I want is instead of internet exploder adding .com to the end of thename I put in the address bar I want to put something else (not important)

In opera its VERY easy to do, but not sure how to do it in internet exploder.

Basically .. I want to change if I put in techimo alone into the address bar.. if it can't resolve that, to add on something else..
for instance if I chose .ohmygod it would try techimo, fail then try techimo.ohmygod

ideas?

I think you need to add what you want to the Registry.

Look for;

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
Microsoft
Internet Explorer
Main
UrlTemplate

In the right-pane, add which "www.%s.ohmygod" or whatever you want. The order you want them to search can be changed as well.

By default it's;

www.%s.com
www.%s.org
www.%s.net
www.%s.edu

See if that doesn't do it for you.

Hmm didn't work, but that maybe a stupid one that requires a reboot being in local machine.

Thanks!
That should do the trick
I may have to delete the rest of them .. don't like them anyways lol
