More questions. Always problems with microsoft :0). I try to run windows update but I get this screen....... Anybody know how to get around that so that I can update??
What version of windows are you trying to update? I know I got that not too long ago when I was working on a friends pc with 98SE on it,probably because 98 is not supported anymore.
Windows XP home. When I went to the other some other forums to find out what it was there was like a hundred people with the same problem. Maybe more I only read like quarter of the page. Guess its a common problem.
I have seen that before, when it does not like the cd-key for activation that your system has, or the activation was not completed correctly, it does check the system and will not let you do any updates.
no that error does not have anything to deal with the key. i had that problem. look in your screen shot.
at the bottom there is a link where it says online support. click that and search the windows update help. im sure you will find what is wrong with your ie
