Maybe when I get some money for a little server. Is a router the only way to port-forward?

Personally, I would.

Because it will act as a nice HARDWARE firewall..."hiding" your computer from the internet.

And also you are ready if you get a laptop, or someone visits with a laptop or you get a second comp etc.

Plus...they are dirt cheap, lol.

I am asking about a router becuase people can't seem to access my webserver over the net, and I think my dsl provider is blocking port 80. So I have seen people talk about port-forwarding using a router.
