Dual Channel DDR

Hi there,
I'm running a pair of 400 Mhz Corsair TwinX DDR3200 RAM with a motherboard compatible with dual channel mode. I was wondering if I need to specifically enable dual channel mode in the BIOS or if it is done automatically. Thanks,
My mobo is a Aopen AK79D-400 MAX

It's automatic, just put them in the right slots. Must be in slot1 and the other in slot3 for dual channel to work.

Not necessarily.

on my A7N8X, it states in the manual:

To enable dual channel, you either put memory in slot 1+2, 1+3 or 1,2 and 3

So my guess is, as long as ya use more then 1 stick, DC-DDR will be enabled.

Run cpu-z, look under the memory tab, and it will indicate your ram status
