I can't access several sites (Icann.org / Internic.net)

Hello,

For the last month i cannot access the site www.ICANN.org nor any other part of it (sub.icann.org/ icann.org/page.htm).


its really annoying, just wondering if anyone knew anythign about this.


When I go to the site i get:

The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

I tried editing my host file and there doesnt seem to be anythign related to ICANN in there.


Andyone have any Ideas?

I jsut noticed I also cant access http://www.Internic.net but CAN access http://Internic.net (and get "whois has move, you are being redirected")

What kind of connection do you have ??????There might be some tweaks to be able to access theses sites.

I am on www.Telus.net ADSL

You may want to try reinstalling TCP/IP if that doesnt work try resetting values in cable router to default (if you use one)

What is TCP or IP?

Also I am on WiFi, so yes I have a router

As well, I tried changing my DNS settings for IP/ICP from "get DNS automaticly" to several DNS IP's that I know will always be up.

One person told me this may fix it, the other told me it will casue requests to go to that server and i will be bad

I noticed www.overture.com is also blocked

But i CAN go to http://inventory.overture.com

Have you tried to take your router out of the loop? Connect directly to the net and see if you have the same problem.

Try to detirmine if it's the router or some setting on your computer.

I ONLY have Wifi,

I dont know how to connect directly : (


I can however connect through the proxy, www.the-cloak.com, not sure whatsup
