Cannot get more than 2 computers to work

Trying to play CS on my network and we can only get 2 systems playing on one server at any one time. The odd computer out can play on a different server no problem, and it doesn't matter which computer is the last to connect, it just won't connect to the same game. I've tried putting the odd man out outside of the hardware firewall, put everyone on a Half Life virtual server....nothing works. I installed IPX on my machine and I got rid of the IPX error message, but no matter what I configure or do I can't get a 3rd computer to connect to the server the other 2 are playing on..what gives? I'm on broadband with a Motorala Surboard modem, and a Belkin router ( which I reset once already ).

It's just weird. All 4 ports on the router can be running different games, but only 2 can play the same server...and my pings don't go over 60. We've got individual CD Keys so that isn't an issue.

But are you using that protocol on all the computers for the LAN game? That may be your problem.

hmmm, not sure about that one...I'd like to know why the 3rd computer cannot connect though...why the third, why not the second, why not a 4th?
