I have SDRAM in my computer, and I ordered a PCI DDR video card is there anyway to lower the delay of the PCI?

That depends on the capabilities of your BIOS.
Some alow you to change the timings, and dividers and all other goodies, some do not.

There was also a program a while back that enabled alot of the features of the BIOS so that you could edit them. Unfortunately I do not rember what that programs name was.

Welcome to the forum Renzuki....

Tell us a little more clearly EXACTLY what it is you want to modify..?

If you overclock the fsb (frontside bus) of the cpu that also speeds up the pci bus.

What exact motherboard do you have? That will go a long way to determining exactly what settings you can play with.

Odds are, with a Dell, there will be very little you can do via the BIOS to tweak timings and such. All of that stuff is pretty well locked out. That's the bad news.

The good news is that it's gonna be an Intel chipset-based system, so PCI bus latency is not going to be a big issue. Also, it's quite possible that your video card will come with a software overclocking tool that will let you speed up the card's performance as much as possible. Odds are that, compared to a "shared system RAM" video system, which a lot of the Dell 2300's have, your PCI video system will be smokin'.

yeah, you will probably see a pretty good video speed boost with a PCI vid card.

For Intel Extreme Graphics, extreme = crappy. A good S3 Virge could do more for you....
