Corrupt UNSTAL.ins file. how do I fix that?

I was trying to uninstall my pc-cillin 2000 but the add/remove panel tells me that the unstall.ins file has been corrupted.

how do i now safely and properly remove the program from my system?

i thought i might reinstall the program but it detects that i already have it installed and wont let me install..

is there a manual way of doing it? or even a program out there that can remove it for me?

Have you tried installing a newer version? It should upgrade your install and include a new uninstall file.

Good luck!

Reinstall the application and then try uninstalling again. This works under most circumstances...

I did try reinstalling the program, but like i said in the first post it detects that I have already installed the program and wont let me reinstall it

i was hoping to be able to remove it without installing an upgrade.. oh wel if thats the solution that works..

now im gonna have more registry keys clogging up my system

Kay well, i just tried installing the newer 2003 version and it wont work.

Says that it has detected 2000 installed and I need to uninstall 2000 before I can continue with the upgrade.

SO now im back at square one!

how da hell do i remove 2000?!?

I can't do it from Add Remove because it says that my

uninst.isu is corrupted. and i looked for the file and its at 0KB so maybe thats why. anybody have the uninst.isu file for PC-cillin 2000?

or anyone know how I can uninstall that program without using the ADD REMOVE panel?

might I suggest that you try the free download of AVG, it has proven to be very effective and trust worthy and free.
