It keeps typing 346 on its own and then making these annoying beeps while random help boxes pop up. If I have just described a virus, please tell me what the **** it is and how to get rid of it.

Not trying to crap your thread, but please refrain from using language on these forums. The mods wont be happy.

As for your problem, it sounds like it could possibly be a virus, but it could also be some stuck/diry keys on your keyboard. My suggestion, try a different kb, see if that helps.

Well, you obviously have some program open that allows input for you to see the 346 thing. What do you have open? Word ... etc.?

As for the popups, have you run spybot and adaware to check for spyware?

And have you scanned for viruses?
