How Much Should I Get Paid?

I saw this job on Dell's website and was wondering how much you think it would pay. Anyone here have experience working at Dell?

Looks like it is some sort of a help desk job.

Responsible for providing technical phone support for customers on operational or maintenance of Dell Client Products. Assist customers, determine problems, and provide resolutions on technical and service problems. Responsible for customer satisfaction by effective handling of customer problems. Ensure proper escalation procedures are followed. Perform assigned functions according to standardized policies and procedures. Analytical ability is required in order to resolve technical issues. Works on routine to semi-routine assignments requiring basic analytical ability to resolve routine to moderately complex technical issues. Normally receives little instruction on routine work and general instruction on new assignments. Gains assistance from higher level employees. Dependable attendance is a requirement of the job. Contact with customers calling Dell for technical support on basic operation and maintenance of personal computers and/or peripheral. Contact with peers, trainers, group leaders and managers requiring clear, verbal communication skills. Escalate problems when unable to make proper cause and resolution determination. Identify and provide input on unique or recurring customer problems. Thorough knowledge of PC operating systems, applications, and technologies. Ability to analyze and solve technical problems by effectively communicating with customers Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to deal professionally with irate customers. Prefer AA/AS degree or certification or equivalent technical training or certification with any combination of experience and training which produces the preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Hehe, do you have "excellent telephone and communication skills?" Better hope you don't have a speech impediment

Lol, doesn't sound too hard, as 75%+ people are asking questions like "why isn't the Dual-Channel RAM I bought working in my PC?" or, why is my new Radeon 9800 Pro not running any faster than my old card in my 300MHz PII? lmao..... some might even ask "How do i turn it on?" I suppose you could answer "I dunno, I guess you could try rubbing against it."

I would have to say from my past experience that they will not pay very much, guessing about 10 to 15 per hr, and judging on past communication with there tech support, you may do better at Mc Donalds, I wounder if that is where they hire from.

hehe, I worked for about 8 months doing tech work just to GET to $8.25, lol.
