Media Passed 70-210 today....

Hehe, I dont feel any different...but I guess I am an MCP now. So when listing all of my extensive credentials, should I list A+ first or MCP?? lol

Of course, I doubt many peeps around here (where I live) know what either of them are, hehe.

But if you say "microsoft certified profesh'nul"..I guess they sort of get the picture.

It wasnt really too hard..I had taken a 70-210 "cram"...when i signed up I wasnt sure if it was a 'cram" or an actual class..was hoping for a class obviously...anyway..so I was aceing the exams by the end of the course....then I put off the actual test for a week..then another week, lol..then anot.....

So this semester I signed up for a 70-215 "cram"...i tried to sign up for the actual server "class" but it was filled up (dude warned me)...so anyway, I took the cram as sort of a refresher for the 70-210....so I got it out of the way today. I may as well go take the 70-215 next week and get it over with as well.

There was one weird thing on the test..a certain question had 6 possible choices....it was a "choose all that apply"......so I chose 3 of them....I get to the end of the test and hit the review page.....I see a big red mark...hmm. It is telling me I left one incomplete.

So I look and its the one with the 6 choices. To make a long story short...it would ONLY say it was "complete" if I chose all six answers! lol. But no way they were all correct. So I called the dude in there....I showed it to him..he said he didnt think it would automatically mark it wrong if it was incomplete. Hehe. So I hit "end" and it told me that if I left it incomplete it would be automatically wrong, lol.

Anyway, I have no clue what THAT was all about

Yhe question itself was a chart of 3 comps..with specs..you were going to upgrade all of them to W2000...so it was asking what things needed to be done to each...so there were two choices for each comp.

Two of the choices involved "converting" w95 and W98 from fat16 to fat32......?? huh. Maybe I am drawing a blank...but is there a utility for that?

Two were showing pentium 100 processors....so I chose that both of them needed a faster cpu. (I have seen min requirements stating p133 mostly..but also have seen "pentium class")

An the last comp only had like 620 free hard drive space so I chose that it needed more space.

But with those 3 answeres it kept saying "incomplete", lol.

So to get it off of incomplete I HAD to choose the fat16 to fat32 conversion.

Which I am not SURE about....I was iffy on that...(I have never messed with fat16 to speak of)

So I might could have accepted that.....but the last remaining chocie that I HAD to accept to get it off of incomplete was that a P166 needed to be upgraded to a faster cpu???

Huh?? Every book Ive ever seen states P133 as a minimum. Is there a higher minimum if you are upgrading?? So it is saying then that a P200 is the minimum?? Ive never seen that in print, lol.

Weird.

Anyway, I passed, lol.

JP
