Computer cuts off!

My computer cuts off when I try to start a game or when it has been on for a while. And then it takes a couple of minutes to cut back on. Thought it might be the power supply, but I switched it out and it did the same thing. Very irritating for my computer to cut off out of the blue.

Any ideas?

do you have in your BIOS set to shut down at a certain cpu temp? if so what is the temp set at ? that is the temp of your cpu when this happens?

if you dont have a way of tellin your cpu temp while using your computer you can D/L motherboard monitor5 @ http://mbm.livewiredev.com/
you have to set it up to match your computer but it is a great little progy
also if you dont know what "stuff" you have in your computer .you can D/L sissoft sandra and it will tell you all about your computers insides http://www.sisoftware.co.uk/index.ph..._dl&a=&lang=en

do you have an led on the mobo that lights up as an overheat warning?

Try changing the shut down feature to 65 C and see if that helps. I did that on a shuttle brand mobo, fixed the problem.

Sounds like it could be a heat issue, you should be able to go into PC health in your Bios and check your temps if you do not have a temp monitor in your front case panel.
