Logitech Z-640, no sound from rear speakers

I don't get any sound from the center speaker either unless the Matrix button is depressed, Ive tried playing Mp3s and a few games, and it's the same with all. The subwoofer and front speakers seem to work fine. I'm running a SB Live 5.1 card. any input would be appreciated, thanks

I'm not fully familiar with SB Live 5.1, I own a SB Audigy. Does the SB software contain a 'Mixer Panel'? If it does, open the mixer panel and click on the button in the bottom left corner that says 'Advanced Mode'. Then click speakers. You must set the speakers for the card to '5.1' You can then hit the 'Test' button to see if they work. And if are also using Windows Media Player, you must set the option in the control panel for the speakers to '5.1' Good Luck, wallie_x
