Systems blue screen winxp wont load now

Hey guys huge problem here....

I was opening outlook to check my mail (problem not specific to outlook) and then i get this blue screeen saying stuff about memory, it has happened in the past week or so once before and then my computer restarted. Now when it was finished restarting everything checked out fine and it did a scan disk real quick and then it halted and windowsXP would NOT load???

I tried removing the memory and putting it another place, but nothing, safe mode, last known good configuration...nothing....any ideas??? I can't get into windows.

I have an ASUS A78NX Deluxe mobo with Crucial Memory.

Have you tried reparing windows from the cd?

also, run a memory test and see if you have any bad memory sticks.

Yes you should try the windows repair... you might have corrupt files.

for memory test try this

www.memtest86.com

It performs test before you get to windows.

But the thing is, this has happened before, but it has never NOT loaded into windows...do you think I might have damaged anything? I have been meaning to get better memory since I know this memory isn't the "best" for the mobo. compatibility issues....think this is a good time to go buy some?

UPDATE: Ok I got a WINXP CD, and ran it, did a chkdsk, told me it found one or more errors....but it still won't load into windows?!?! I really need help here, I have to finish this report by monday and I have never had this problem before...b/c it gets to the loading screen and then quits....if i was to reinstall WINXP what would be the sacrifice of that?

Send a message via ICQ to OuTpaTienT
You shouldn't lose anything by reinstalling over the existing windows. Try the Repair Console first, then the full blown repair Windows, then reinstall if it's still not fixed.
