I am told that the Ti4200 128 mb is not as good as the 64mb Ti4200?
I was gonna get the ti4200 128mb but after i heard this i might get the 64mb cos i assume it would be cheaper. What makes the 64mb better, does it give better performance? Will it get a higher score on the 3DMark progs? Will it give off a higher fps in games?
Yes, but the first 128-MB unit had SDRAM. So just comparing 64-MB to 128-MB doesn't tell you the whole story. If they're both DDR, then the 128-MB card is better. But you have to make sure which you're getting.
the 64 meg one is faster then the 128. i don't know why but i have seen the 128 go 10fps slower then the 64 one. that isn't that bad but it could be in the game situation.
It might depend on what games you want to play...some of the newer games may require 128m memory...and plus..remember you can always overclock the card some to get better speed....Im sure the 4200 will overclock to at least 4600 type speed no problem.

JP's got it in one, the 64mb one has faster core and memory clock speeds than the 128mb version, i have the 64mb version and it's great stuff, it can run all the latest games (Freedom fighters 1280x1024, Temple of elemental evil 1024x768 full details) etc...
