I'm not even sure that you can do that. I know that vbulletin can so if you figure out how it works then its a start.

i dont know if you can, but why the switch from php to invision? i find php to be better imo.

phpBB is hell to customize, IMO. I ran it for several months on otcentral.com before finding out that it was just no good. I switched it to vBulletin and it has been running smoother than ever.

My Invision Board sites run even smoother, and that's hard to do.

As for the conversion, make sure you keep a copy of both databases active so that you can check for consistency of thread and user settings. In some conversion cases I had some sticky and unlocked threads on the phpBB turn into locked threads on Invision, and vice versa (locked threads would get stickied)
