It means you are given the license to install XP on 1 additional machine...you must already own the XP Home Edition CD. It's much cheaper to buy more licenses over buying a new CD for every computer.
Get it?

It apparently means you only get the user's license with no CD. That's a strange one. What good is a license with no OS or installation CD?

Edit: I get it now. Martoch posted too quick for me.

Well every xp home edition CD is the same, its just the product number that comes with it thats different.

So like martoch said, if u alreayd have a CD then u just need another license to legally put it on another pc

the only problem with that is the cost is almost as much as a new cd,
also it your building computers for other people, they will need a o?s cd to go with it, so might just as well go that route anyway

When I build a system for somebody, I make sure they have a CD to go along with it.

9software has the Windows XP Home Edition OEM for $93.

at best you would be lucky to get a restore cd.

and keep in mind that that install of xp is only licensed to that one computer, the cd key is usally a sticker mounted on the case somewhere.

they can do that because xp is such a good self fixing system, it really would not be necessary to need to reinstall xp.

just repaire it all the time or use the restore points.
thats a lot better than having to reinstall everything
