My Computer has been doing weird things lately.
First it would be running fine and then just shut it self off.
Then one day the computer wouldnt start at all. I would push the button on the tower and it was dead nothing at all. I kept trying to start it and finally it booted. Than after a while it would shut it self off again.
Now the thing wont start at all. (Truly Dead!)
So I decided to pull the case off the tower and dicovered the compasitors are all swelled up. They look like they are going to explode.
What is wrong with my motherboard?
Can anyone help me?
Is my Computer shot?
Thanks

There has been some bad capacitors going around and you are not the only one. All manufacturers are have the same problem. The only thing you can do is have the manufacturer fix it and hope it fixes it. It will take a few years to get all the bad capacitors out of the way.

Well it depends if you want to use a soldering iron. I would like the manufacturer do it.

Lol..... doing it yourself would be one helluva job

Anyways, what do you mean there have been bad capacitors... and that it'll take years for them to "go away?"

Could you send pics of your swolen caps, i'd like to see if mine are swolen

There have been bad caps being produced for a long time and I calculated it based on demand and current boards to be about 2 years to see them get out of the way and get the good caps in stock.
