Kids video card

i have a dell inspirion 8500 with the 64 mg nvidia geforce4 4200go video card. can any body tell me if the 128mg card from the dell 8600 will work in the 8500? i know dell makes alot of there laptops with pin compatable video cards but i dont know if it will work since the 8600 uses the pentium m processor. will the ati radeon 9000 64mg card plug in as well? any help or advice would be much appreciated. help pls!!!

Looking at the upgrade options for the Inspiron 8500, they offer a 32MB 9000, but not a 64MB version. I would imagine that if the pins match up, then you probably would be okay to try the card in it. If it were me, I would, but only if it weren't under warranty.

The CPU shouldn't matter which video card is in it.

Contemplating is on a distinguished road
I've seen the gf 5750 (I think that's the number) 128mb on ebay and they advertise that the bios in the I8500 supports it. Either way good luck with that!
