Stuck in Breakthrough

Hi I'm new to the group and hope someone can help with a problem I've run into in Breakthrough.
I'm in the monti cassino level where you have to find some hidden allied soldiers. It's the part where you start with a medic but end up leaving him behind with a wounded man after taking out a tank with a piat. The frustrating thing is that I've got to where the soldiers were being held, killed the guard, gone into his office, got the keys and unlocked the door.....but nothing happens when I go in. My compass indicates I have reached my objective but they just sit or crouch on the floor and do nothing. I have looked all through the level and even replayed it four times to see if the end result is different but it isn't. I've looked high and low for somewhere else to go and tried every door/gate until I have just got totally fed up with it. I would appreciate any help that is out there. Thanks...Hemzy

if i remember the level correctly did you kill all the snipers?

Did you try hitting the 'Tab' key to see if you completed your objectives?

Hey, thanks for the quick response. Yep I've killed the snipers...I think you're referring to an earlier level where you start off with a medic in a jeep...I'm past that.

The level I'm on gets close to the end by descending a long staircase into a courtyard. After dealing with the opposition you enter a room where there is a projector set up on the right. There is a short corridor in front with a cell door on the left and just beyond it an office door. As you move towards the corridor the office door opens and an enemy officer emerges. After taking him out you go into the office, pick up the keys and then open the cell door to find the three allied soldiers. That's as far as it goes.
When I press the tab key it still shows the objective incomplete but I cannot find anyone else, I've backtracked to the beginning of the level and tried every nook and cranny in case I've missed something but so far no progress.

Hi Jerry, thanks for asking....no I haven't. It's very frustrating....I'm wondering if I have to complete the mission without losing any of the allied soldiers to enemy fire en route to where the others are being held captive. Difficult when they all rush around like headless chickens! I'll keep trying but if you come across any ideas I'd be grateful.
