movie splitter

i have recently downloaded a movie.avi that is bigger than 700mb. i wish to split it into two parts to burn it onto 2 cdrs. i have tried easy video splitter and after i split the movie and try to burn it nero doesnt reconize it. i have also tried viadub, i think its called. it donesnt reconize the movie at all. it wont even open. i have installed many.....MANY codecs. i enstalled a package. i am really struggeling with this problem......any suggestions at all would be great....i have searched the web for about a week trying to find an answer to my problem...

If it's an avi file then why does Nero need to recognize it? Just burn it as a file to a data disk.

If you're trying to make VCD disk then you should first convert it to MPG format. I use TMPGEnc for converting to MPG. You can also use TMPGEnc to split it up into disc sized segments as you convert it.

nero doesnt reconize the file to be burn after i split it with easy video splitter. nero would have no problem burning it if it was under 700mb.....has anyone used easy video splitter v2. when i try to burn it as a data cd it wont play in dvd player. it will only play when i burn it as vcd so...but that doenst matter i just need to find out what easy video splitter changes to make it unreadable by nero after its split

Not you...he was talking to iNeb.

I forgot to mention TMPgenc but Out took care of that. Did it work for you?
