Dead Mobo?

Here's the prob:

A7N8X deluxe mobo
new amd 2500+ Barton
512 mb Corsair 3200 RAM
2 SATA Maxtor drives in RAID 0
Ti 4200 vid card
Xaser III case w/ 420 W power supply

When I boot up nothin', and I mean nothin, happens. No ASUS post messages, no warning beeps, and a black screen. The power comes on, the hard drives spin, the CDR lights up, and the green light on the mobo comes on, but the screen stays black and the monitor goes into power save mode 'cause I assume no data is getting to it. I've tried clearing CMOS, tested the RAM and vid card in another computer and they work fine. I thought it was my CPU, so I swapped out my old 2400+ for a new 2500+ Barton and got the same results as before. Am I missing something or is my Mobo fried? I hope not 'cause I really like this mobo and I'd hate having to spend all that money on a new one. Thanks y'all!

I've ran across this a few times, best thing to do when checking problems like this is pull the board and put it on a phone book or something none condutive. leave only the cpu hs/fan ddr/ram and video card hooked up and clear the cmos yet again maybe even double check the battery then see if it posts from there. the problem could be with something on the board grounding. also make sure you ahve the wires on the hs/fan hooked up and a floppy drie {some boards req a floppy to boot}
