Stylesheet Question

Is it possible to make a stylesheet affect only a portion of a web page?

Would it be possible to give me the code that tells the page: "from now on do not look at the stylesheet for instructions" ?

Well, you can't do that, but you can do this:

Code:
.announcedate {  font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; font-style: none; color: #000000}
and
Code:
a.bottom:link {  font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: #FFFFFF; text-decoration:  none}
Then,

Code:
<a class"bottom" href="http://">xxx</a>
and

Code:
<span class"annoucedate">info goes here</span>
