VB Variables to DOS variable

Dear all who can help,

I am writing a graphical user interface for a dos program in VB.
So far i have all the graphical side of it under control. But i have a problem.
In the interface, bits of data have to be entered. I want this data to move in to the DOS variables i set for them (or rather the dos program has set) using the "SET=" i can put the variables in, but i don't know the command to move the variables from the variables set in the VB program to the DOS variables.

Please please please can some one help me with this.

Thank you so much for any help.

there isnt' a real command for this TMK
You can easily go from DOS to VB, but an application can only return one value.

One thing that may work for you though is dumping the values to a text file then have the batch file pull those values once the app is completed.

Thank you m8,
I sorted out a way of doing it, based on what i thought of b4, and what vass confirmed.
I have now got a write to file, which turns in to a bat file and is executed. (i know i can write straight to a bat file, but i didn't want to do that since i need to build a bat file and run more than the variables that were being dumped.)

thank you for your help, i shall look in to GUI4DOS.
